HyperX, the high-performance product division of Kingston, has partnered with Microsoft to launch the official licensed headset for Xbox One.
The HyperX CloudX, which is due for release in a few months, is based on the award-winning HyperX Cloud II Design which was brought to the market in 2014, aimed at PC gamers. HyperX prides itself on quality, performance and innovation.
The new headset promises to bring a new level of audio performance to console games, executing every voice, gunshot and explosion in razor-sharp sound via its large 53mm drivers. The unparalleled sound quality is dualled with memory foam ear cushions, soft-leather padded headband and custom-stitching for enhanced comfort.
The headset, which connects directly into XBox one controllers via a 3.5mm port, also features in-line volume controls and an over-the-ear, closed-cup design, which helps to block out external noise for a more immersive gaming experience.
HyperX General Manager, Anders Willumsen, said, “We are proud to work with Microsoft on their Xbox One gaming platform and bring our headset expertise to the console world.”
“There are natural synergies between our two companies as HyperX has a strong PC presence and the Xbox One console provides deeper integration with PC gaming via the Xbox App on Windows 10.”
The HyperX CloudX Pro Gaming Headset, targeted at independent gamers and overclockers, will go on sale in the late second quarter of this year.
Buyers will also take away a detachable microphone and hard shell carrying-case to protect the headset when traveling or not in use.
HyperX is a division of Kingston Technology that encompasses high-speed DDR4 and DDR3 memory, SSDs, USB Flash drives, headsets and mouse pads.
