Apple have just launched a new 27-inch iMac with 5K retina display which is absolutely stunning. Falling into the name ‘Late 2015’ series these models all come equipped with a 27” screen and one of the 3 following processor speeds; 3.2Ghz, 3.3Ghz or 4.0Ghz. The standard memory installed is a very minimal 8GB. Either of these 3 models can support to 64GB of memory via x4 16GB modules when released. Most users will find 32GB of RAM is more than ample.
To put it simply, this new iMac has a LOT of pixels. To put it mathematically, this new iMac has 14.7million pixels.
Whichever way you prefer, this display is pretty amazing.
The magic doesn’t end there though, because with its new 5k panel that produces a wider range of colours than ever before, with claims that you can expect to see 99% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, in other words you can see greener greens and bluer blues.
So, whether you are editing in Photoshop or Final Cut Pro, or trying to climb up the leagues in FIFA, your eyes are in for a treat.
